Project Results under Work Package 4: A An Open Online Course grounded on Entrecomp
The first activity is known as WP4-A1 Needs Analysis. This needs analysis aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the competencies, challenges, and support required by adult educators working with migrant populations to effectively teach
entrepreneurship skills.
The main objectives of the needs analysis were:
- Identify the training needs of adult educators working with people with migrant backgrounds, specifically in relation to teaching social entrepreneurship.
- Assess gaps in knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to delivering entrepreneurship education aligned with the EntreComp framework.
- Collect input from the target group to ensure the course content is relevant, practical, and user-focused.
- Inform the structure, content, and design of the gamified Open Online Course (OOC), so it effectively supports competence development.
- Ensure alignment between educator needs and course learning objectives, promoting inclusive, engaging, and impactful learning experiences.
The findings are presented in a comprehensive Needs Analysis Report, which will inform the development of the Gamified Open Online Course based on the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework, Entrecomp (EC, 2016). This tool will support educators in monitoring and enhancing their ability to teach entrepreneurship to adults with migrant backgrounds.
In line with these objectives, an online survey was designed and implemented.
Based on the results of the surveys conducted in partners’ countries and the needs analysis report, a comprehensive interactive gamified Open Online Course has been developed by the project consortium. The development of this course is one of three key milestones for the EntreAdu project.
